The walk of Christ – the power of sacrificial servanthood

Jesus dies.
This road of walking with Christ takes an overwhelming turn and there is only one way to navigate the curve, obey him, and let his Spirit guide you.

Like turning the corner and finding you are in a very dark room.

There is only one way to make it on this road and it is through obedience to Jesus.

Do not think for a moment that He has abandoned us on this road to manage on our own. He has not. There is still road ahead of us, but we must rely on what He has told us. We must trust Him, we must obey Him. We must learn to listen to His Spirit that lives in us. It is only our sacrificial heart and attitude of service that will enable us to keep going and encourage others with us to continue down this road with us.

The light for our journey on the road to God‟s Kingdom must come from His Spirit that resides with in us. Our love for Him and others is the fuel we need to cause our lights to shine more brightly and make our way on this road. There is no other way. Now we will have to trust Him like never before. His Word will be the light for our road and obedience to His Spirit will show us how to proceed.

Prayer:
Father, Some days seem so dark and Jesus seems so distant. When I am tempted to turn back to my former way of living help me remember I am not alone. Thank you for sending your Spirit to guide me. Help me to learn to hear his voice more clearly and help me obey him. I thank you that Jesus told me that days like this would come and that His peace will always be with me. Help me to love Him and others in the midst of my uncertainty and may I experience His joy completely today. Amen.

Meditate:
Isa 53:5-6
―But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

“ask where the good way is,
and walk in it,”
Jer 6:16
